Regional Group are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct the servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Regional Group equipment including trucks, dozers, graders compactors, rollers, excavators, and posi-tracks.
- Work within workshop rules and regulations at all times.
- Liaising with direct managers, supervisors and managers daily.
- Thoroughly diagnose and repair faults.
- Work to tight schedules whilst maintaining the highest standards.
- Adopt and continue with Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all repairs and maintenance.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Current drivers licence (HR preferred but not essential).
- Fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
- Confident in all aspects of Plant repairs.
- Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions.
- Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes and suspension.
- Basic auto electrical knowledge.
- Competent with computers and digital diagnostics.
- Outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
- Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
- A team player who is action focused and result-oriented, who quickly comes up to speed on repairs and priority breakdowns.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
